Cherry Ice Cream

Juicy maraschino cherries swirled with creamy vanilla ice cream, bursting with sweet, tangy flavor and velvety smoothness.

 1 ¾ cups whole milk
 1 ¼ cups heavy cream
 1 pouch Chilly Churn™ Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream Mix - With Other Natural Flavor
 1 jar (8 oz) maraschino cherries

Place the whole milk and heavy cream in a large bowl. Slowly whisk in the Chilly Churn™ Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream Mix - With Other Natural Flavor with a wire whisk for about 3 minutes or until smooth.

Add the mixture to the freezer bowl or electric stand mixer with a freezer bowl and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. Before storing in the freezer, add the maraschino cherries with the juice (entire jar) and mix an additional minute to disperse.

Place the ice cream in a freezer container and freeze for 2 hours to set firmly.

Notes

The ice cream can also be made with canned dark cherries or any variety of fresh or frozen cherries.
